SIMONE AND NADIA | SLOSS FURNACES FAMILY PORTRAITS

Someday I think we'll need to do a coffee table book with all of these shoots with Simone and Nadia. They're just such expressive girls with such a great family. They also have some exciting news in that their mom, Monique, is going to publish her first book in the coming years. This year we ventured to Sloss Furnaces near downtown Birmingham, Alabama, and boy was I happy we did. Such a cool spot for family portraits. We did have to make our way around some of the halloween decorations that scared me to death when I walked into one of the scenes unknowingly.Despite the scare, I particularly loved the rusty look and all the colors there. Simone and Nadia and their parents were patient with me as I moved them around from scene to scene. I can't wait to go back there to photograph again sometime!
