Moon Pie Connection Part II | Welcome to the world, Scout!

Miles, Hank and I welcomed our newest little family member, Scout, to the world on November 26th, 2014. It's been a huge change having two children in our house, but so far, the change has been every bit as wonderful as we thought it would be.The labor and delivery was fast and caught me off guard. I had a few contractions throughout the night before but they were so slight that I thought I'd dreamt them. That afternoon at around 1 p.m., I had another one which was about two minutes long. I went ahead and called my doctor, Dr. Stice, just to see at what point I'd need to go to the hospital. Since it was Thanksgiving Eve my doctor wasn't on call so the doctor on call sent me to the hospital. After arriving the nurses told us we were there too early and were going home. The doctor on call told the nurses to go ahead and monitor me for a few hours. In those few hours I went into full labor. All the while we had Miles with us while we waited for Hank's parents to arrive. Luckily they arrived just in time and Miles went home. My doctor ended up coming in from home to deliver her. I must have had the happiest look on my face to see him. When he got there I told him I wanted to beat my friend's record of pushing for 15 minutes. Scout arrived in 13 minutes at 8:03 p.m. I was relieved.We're so lucky to have two sweet, spunky kids, and a great support system of loved ones surrounding us. The love we feel for these two children is just overwhelming at times and so fulfilling.While I’m on another little break, I’m still working with clients to fulfill orders and designing albums.
