Covergirl YouTube Star

So to figure out who to look at for this blog post I went straight to the source. I asked a young person who they consider to be an influential company in the YouTube world, and what they liked about their YouTube video. My friend's daughter, Cate, who has her own channel, gave me a gold mine. She told me to check out James Charles who was a YouTube star first, who was picked up by Covergirl to rep for them.I found this interesting story about James Charles and his background in The Washington Post. They said this in the story.."Charles will follow in the footsteps of models such as Christie Brinkley, Cybill Shepherd and the brand’s first representative in 1963, Jennifer O’Neill." I found this interesting because it appears that he's the first model to be found from YouTube. They basically turned an influencer into a walking YouTube billboard.So instead of only creating their own content on their own page, they've found an influencer and made him a spokesperson to help sell more of their products. It's very interesting.Plus I found watching his videos like going down a rabbit hole.
